33rd Annual Friendship Village
10AM - Program begins at the Museum at the Portage, 804 MacFarlane Road
The program will be on John Baptiste DuBay, appointed as the Indian agent at Fort Winnebago in 1840. DuBay was illiterate but knew four Indian languages and was involved in many treaty negotiations. In 1857, shot a man in a property dispute. Come hear “the rest of the story” of this sensational historic figure in Portage’s past.
2pm-4pm at the Women’s Civic League Home, 506 West Edgewater
Pie and ice cream social on the lawn along Wisconsin River. Donations accepted.
